For centuries Amalfi has been the crossroads for commerce and culture, thanks to the initiative of its traders and the wise diplomacy of its rulers/governers. The “Amalfitani”, in fact maintained constant relations with inhabitants from all over the Mediterranean and it was due to these connections that the secrets of navigation were revealed to the rest of the world. The diffusion of the compass, from which the name of our hotel derives, is traditionally attributed to the “Amalfitani” who were also the first to write the laws of navigation and commerce which were adopted by the other states within the Mediterranean.
Today Amalfi and the Amalfi Coast are the favourite destinations of thousands of tourists all over the world. This is because they are guaranteed a holiday where they can enjoy the beauty of the region which has remained intact along with highly professional tourist services.
