How to get to Amalfi

Amalfi is at the center of the Amalfi Coast, declared UNESCO World Heritage.
Our area is full of spectacular natural views where the sky and the sea meet on cliffs, hills and small towns on a human scale.

The absolute vertical triumphs, everything is uphill or downhill. The spaces are limited everywhere and it is important for those who live, even if only for a few days, to understand and appreciate our peculiarities in our area.

We as “compass” (bussola in italian) suggest:
  • The Train, Station SALERNO (please do not Sorrento or Vietri sul mare!), With the Red Arrow or Italian, then SITA bus every hour or comfortable boats from tourist pier to 400 meters from the station.  Travelmar
  • Airport NAPOLI-CAPODICHINO. Shuttle bus direct to Amalfi or BUS SITA from NAPOLI center, Immacolatella near via Marittima. (Link to Sita timetables). We have the possibility to send one of our cars to the airport for a comfortable transfer. Call us to book it.
  • Boats from and to Salerno, Positano, Sorrento, Capri and other ports on the coast. Travelmar company.
  • Taxi of Amalfi city to and from the stations of Salerno or Naples airport, contact our hotel to book.
  • Car: Motorways: A3 VIETRI SUL MARE; or on the A30 Exit SALERNO CENTRO; and then the beautiful, but tortuous Amalfi Coast.  We are on the seafront, just in Amalfi you will see us immediately on the seafront. We have reserved car parking for our customers.

Hotel La Bussola is very convenient, on the Waterfront (Lungomare) in the town center, furnished with care, where guests find a kind, fresh and Mediterranean welcome, typical of the inhabitants of the Amalfi Coast.

Our hotel is a company particularly attentive to the eco system that surrounds it, does not pollute and tries to involve in this work even its customers, “residents” maybe only for a few days, of a particular area.

Hotel La Bussola is by the sea, in a quiet and panoramic position, in the center of Amalfi. Near the bus terminal and the touristic pier with links to Positano, Salerno Capri and the beaches of the coast.

The compass was invented more than a thousand years ago by the navigators of the maritime republic of Amalfi. Let yourself be guided, listen to our tips!
